At the start of my career, I chose to pursue nursing in order to bring healing to hurting individuals. However, what I found was that many times, my patients needed a compassionate space and an empathetic ear more than a medical intervention. I longed for the knowledge, skills, and space to explore the mental health and well-being of my patients in hopes of helping them find lasting healing and hope. Thus, I decided to pursue my Master's of Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary.
I desire to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore the things that are hurting them or holding them back. I seek to come alongside each client in a collaborative, encouraging way to empower them to access the strengths and resources that I believe are intrinsic to each one of us. I consider it an honor to be invited to enter into the painful parts of clients’ stories in order to bring about true healing. |
